About Us

The International Colorectal Cancer Outcomes Registry (ICORC) is a voluntary international collaboration of colorectal cancer outcome registries. It was founded in 2021 by:

  1. The National Bowel Cancer Audit (UK): Professor Kate Walker
  2. Bowel Cancer Outcomes Registry (Australia and New Zealand): Mr Phil Smart, Professor Sandy Heriot, A/Professor Helen Mohan
  3. The Dutch Surgical Colorectal Audit: Dr Julie Sijmons, Professor Pieter Tanis, Dr J.W.T. Dekker

Since 2021, ICORC has grown into multidisciplinary team of colorectal surgeons, oncologists, medical statisticians, data analysts, public health physicians, and health services researchers. The group also includes early career researchers and clinical fellows. ICORC currently has over 50 members from 15 countries across 4 continents, and is continuing to growing.

ICORC organises regular virtual meetings, chaired by Professor Kate Walker, Senior Methodologist at NBOCA. The meeting provide an opportunity for shared learning across registries and the development of collaborative research projects. Its secretary is Mr Adil Rashid, Clinical Fellow at NBOCA.
